Ride closure

Just checking my my experience app, looking at live wait times and it is saying splash mountain and thunder mountain is closed. Does anyone know why? I've looked at refurbishment closure and they are not on the list for now?

Splash Mountain has broken down and Big Thunder broke down twice before starting again and then closed (friends there currently messaging me about it!)

Someone with an AP thats on a fb page a follow said they've taken all 3 moutains & SDMT out altogether a few times the last week due to media & cameras being there

I've been in MK with all the mountains down before... bloody nightmare. That was in January a few years back so maybe they do little things to the rides during the not so busy season.

Yesterday and today there have been multiple closures - yesterday at opening 7 dwarfs was down for 1.5 hours, Splash for 2.5 hours and Space for at least 3.5. Today I believe Splash and Big Thunder were down almost all day, 7 dwarfs for at least 4 hours and space went down later too. It has really messed up our MK plans as everywhere else takes the hit with so many any time fastpasses around and all rides had long fastpass queues

Thanks for the replies... I hope they don't do this at easter as it will make it even busier!

Hopefully not but they can’t help it if the rides break down. It’s not often so many go at the same time. My friends got on Splash yesterday in the end but then it broke again while they were on it and had to be led off.
Hopefully they won’t be doing any filming either.

If you ever see space mountain down, make sure you get on the people mover.
