We are flying from Birmingham to Sanford with TUI on Thursday. The flight prices were amazing and half the price of Virgin &/or BA. Although Sanford is further away it is much quicker to clear immigration and we have found that we are at resort quicker than we would be flying into MCO so thats a consideration to add to your decision making. Have you considered 1 way car hires? Cheaper than transfers with TUI or taxi's... We are having a car for the full two weeks as we feel that it'll be easier for leaving Disney for the attractions around I-Drive.

Over an hour at the minimum!
Got ours in less than 15 mins at Birmingham

OP, I personally prefer going into Sanford. Smaller, faster airport, which usually means your on your way quicker. However I usually rent a car, if your busing it, it could be slower and cost more than Orlando.

2 years ago we went from ema to sanford and brother went from manchester in mco. Left on the same day within 15mins of each other we got through customs picked car up and drove to disney and we arrived 30mins before them. I would always go from local airport if possible. We had a 15min drive to ema, brother had 1hour 15min to manchester. I think i won that one. No rivalry in our family😉

Also as we only gonna do Disney and both Universal parks we again not having a car as our trip in 2008 we only used it 5 days out of the 13. On our trip in 2011 we used the buses 3 times ( twice to Universal and once to the Florida mall)
East Midlands airport is that will Tui also? I don’t mind that as it’s only a 42 min drive away from my house. What’s the prices like compared to Birmingham and Manchester?
For my dates next year EMA much cheaper than BHX and flight times no worse and that was with TUI yes

In November we’re flying indirect from bhx. Bhx - Glasgow (Flybe), Glasgow - MCO (Virgin) - all on virgin ticket as they are partners- maybe this would work for you too?

As we only planning on doing Disney only I’m not gonna give Disney a extra $350 to park a hire car at the resort as if the free dinning plan is still on in 2023 with Alcohol included I'm gonna be having beers with my quick service meal.
