BA Luggage allowance

Hi, we usually fly Virgin/ Delta so asking for a friend!

They're flying man-lhr-san Diego, does the higher international hold allowance apply to domestic flight?They're on a through ticket. Is it 23kg?

Do BE still have 23kg cabin bag allowance?

Hi Mary its worth looking at the BA website as it is confusing, if it is all BA I would say 23kg but I would double check to be sure.

Just checked website and it is 23kg on short and long

Just be aware that it's 23kg in hold and 23kg in cabin provided it fits the dimensions for cabin luggage and you can lift it above your head and into the overhead locker.

There is no “higher international allowance”. If these flights are sold on BA flight numbers and are BA operated, BA sells basic economy (not on all routes, but available on MAN-LHR-SAN) and standard economy tickets. Basic Economy doesn’t include any checked bag allowance on any sector, Standard Economy includes a checked bag (23kg) on all sectors.

The passenger’s eticket is definitive when it comes to checked baggage allowance.
