Blackpool illuminations on Friday

We always eat at Pizza Hut Cleveleys and then drive through. They'll turn on around 6:15 this week I think. However there is no way on earth I would go through on a Friday, especially a Friday in half term! We went on Thursday and there was no traffic at all for most of it. If going on Friday I would strongly advise going through on a tram from Bispham then getting back out onto the motorway at that end too.

Thanks all. I like the idea of a tram but we'll have a car full of suitcases and iPads so can't really leave it.

Will see how we feel by the end if the week. DH may drive there and I could drive through and then he could drive home so it's not too tedious for one person.

We live not too far from the start of the lights & the tram so you’re more than welcome to park on our drive if you’re worried about your personal items.

I think the one at the end of the lights is Bispham Kitchen. Past the tableaux on the left and turn right at the lights at Barclays Bank. We like the Cottage but this is further out at Marton. We like Bentleys too but that is down a back street towards the Pleasure Beach. I would only ever eat fish and chips in Blackpool !

I dud think The Cottage was a bit far back but was just a guess, its still nice!
