Mobile Which is your preferred area to stay and why?

Hello
We are looking to go back in 2021. Staying in a villa as we just dont think we can afford a Disney hotel and three weeks in a hotel room with two young children will drive me loopy/to drink!
This time my husband is reluctantly driving so ideally I’m looking for an area that’s a quick, easy drive to the parks. Also close to shops and restaurants. Where would you suggest? I need to sell this to him.

Why do you pick the area that you are going to/have stayed in?

Thanks
Tc

We like the south end of Idrive. Vistana Villages, The Fountains, Floridays. to name a few. many more there. Not a villa but 2 and 3 bedroom condos. I find it quieter at that end. Near the outlets. plenty of places to eat. On the Iride route if you don't want to drive one night . not to far from both Disney and Universal and 5 minutes from sea world.

What’s the difference between a villa and a condo?
Thanks

A condo is a flat and comes with a shared pool area.

We normally stay near the 192, we have stayed at Calabria and High Grove but there are a number of different villa resorts around that area. It takes us about 15 - 20 minutes to get to the Disney parks from there. Plenty of places to eat along the 192

Favorite subdivision? Hampton Lakes

But in reality anywhere in Davenport...close enough to the attractions but far enough away too!

We love Davenport. It’s quiet but close enough to everything, including the parks. We’ve stayed in a lovely Westridge villa and also at Bahama Bay, they’re minutes apart. This year we’re in a dibb villa in Aylesbury. Having never stayed anywhere else other than onsite hotels we really like the areas and feel safe & welcome.

Are there any good Hotels or Condos on bus route near Universal as may look at two weeks there next year. However, we don’t want to drive or be dependent on shuttles which will only take you to Universal or Disney.
