Mobile Could this be sciatica

For the last few days I have a numb feeling in my right foot. It also feels numb down the back/outside of my right leg from my hip/bum area. I first noticed it only when I was in my bed or lying on the couch but today I feel it no matter what I do. I have no pain at all just a weird feeling.

I get sciatica and always get searing pain through my bum cheek area and down my leg, always have pain in my lower back when it flares up. I would be off to see a doctor if I was experiencing numbness alone

Thanks. I didn't think it would be sciatica. I'll make an appointment with my GP and get it checked out.

I have permanent numbness in the areas you described - this is due to the sciatic nerve being damaged during surgery.
I would get it checked out.
PS if you start having problems with bladder/bowel that is a red flag and you need seen immediately.

When my sciatica gets really bad I lose all feeling below the knee in my right leg, I still get the back pain though. My physiotherapist normally manages to sort it out< but from what you have described I would visit the doctor to get it checked.

My husband recently had sciatica and started like that numbness down the leg with pins and needles at times. eventually had a dropped foot where he had no feeling at all which lasted a few months. google some exercises for it and get it checked out by gp and hopefully wont come to much as it is a pain in the ass... literally!
