I’m glad you’re ‘moving’ again. I was going to say, my DD 16 had a right hemicolectomy in December 2016 and like you ‘struggled’ afterwards. As it got to Christmas Eve, we were so desperate for her to come home, they decided to let her even without a BM. We walked through the front door and she’d gone within 5 minutes! Sometimes you just need your own toilet

We were fortunate she didn’t end up with a stoma which had been a strong possibility. Last year on her 18th she decided to get a tattoo 😳 to celebrate her scar and 2 years of being fit and healthy again. I wish the same for you.

Glad you are recovering well Sally.
My Nan had exactly the same as you back in January.She drank lots of peppermint tea and the nurses also recommend I bring her some chewing gum as apparently that also helps get things moving!

Try and eat a high fibre diet - this tends to be the best way to help with constipation.

Though when you have had a bowel op they often want you to eat a low residue diet, (so low in fibre - to rest the bowel) so would ask a medical professional first.
