A couple of people said that on one forum and an American then wrote an essay on how more they pay.

Am I correct then that if we book to,arrive on the 28th of March 2020, our Easter holiday next year, we can still qualify for the DPP?

It's not new news. Our deals get posted on the American forums and blogs every year.

When the exchange rate was better, their free dining deal was more attractive to us, especially as they got free qsdp at value resorts and free DDP at moderate resorts. However, not many of us made use of it as we're so used to planning far in advance and their desks are released much closer to the time, with more date restrictions. People booking later have certainly taken advantage of it though. I wonder if our deal looks so much more attractive now to them as they have the stronger exchange rate, whereas when the exchange rate was 1.5-1.6 it looked expensive to them and made theirs seem a good deal. That could have quite a bit to do with their perception of our current deal.

You can arrive up to, and including 29th March and will receive free dining for your whole stay, provided you book a participating hotel.

This is the first time I've known it to happen. Mind you I spend very little time on Disney pages apart from the odd few minutes on here, I'm too busy doing other stuff. I only found about it through my newsfeed on Facebook.

Totally agree. The exchange rate will make it look very appealing to US residents. I also wonder how many Americans take a 2 - 3 week holiday?
The one think you cannot accuse Disney of is being financially naive so they have clearly worked the figures

I wasn't questioning the validity of it, just letting you know that it's not new news to the US, and offering a reason why it looks so good to them

I'd also say you spend more than an odd few minutes on here - almost as much as me
Actually, I'm probably on here a bit more, but I don't do Facebook or any other sort of social media
