PLANE FOOD

Oh my god its like 3am here and Im wide awake lying on the floor of the hotel. The kids and DW are snoring so bad. I had no intention of doing this so early!

So onto the plane food.

We had a sneaky suspicion that the plane food wasnt going to be to our liking after recent reports of the menu so we got some meal deals from Boots to bring on the plane.

Once we had taken off they were very quick in bringing us drinks which was good. This was constant throughout the flight. I do hate the size of diet cokes though. One gulps.

The service was excellent though, especially in regards to Evie which I will detail in the Travel Day on my trip report.

When they did show us the menu I was delighted that we had chosen the sandwiches as the menu didnt appeal to any of us bar Evie.

Evie wanted the pasta but they had run out so they got her meal from Premium Economy. She had the chicken teriyaki which she loved.

From Boots I had a Buffalo Chicken Sandwich that was disappointing. Not much flavour at all. Lily kept on with her old school eats and had a plain cheese sandwich.

Kelly had a duck wrap. We also Pringles.

A little later on we given little Fab ice creams which were nice.

We also ate way to many Haribos and strawberry laces as well.

About an hour or so before landing we were brought round little boxes that contained high tea.

This consisted of a seeded roll with mozzarella and pesto. It was ok.

The box also contained a scone, clotted cream and jam. The scone disintegrated as soon as I tried to apply the clotted cream. It tasted ok though.

I much prefer Del Boy clotted cream Thank you Im here for 3 weeks.

Was it called High Tea as you had to be High to enjoy it or because your High in the air? I cant decide.

So that was the plane food. Not better or worse than expected.

SASSAGOULA FOOD COURT

Apologies for the quality of this one but we were like The Walking Dead after arriving from the UK.

Our first Disney eats!

It was about 7.45pm and so it was fairly busy. Not too bad though. We initially popped in to get our refil mugs but I fancied eating and so did Evie so we all ended up eating.

A much smaller food court than Riverside it still took awhile to decide where wed eat. Its the sort of place that once youd ordered you see something else that you wished youd gone for instead! Kelly saw several things.

The are several different sections you go to order from ranging from burgers to pizza and pasta etc. There is a bakery bit as well but if Im being honest I was half asleep!

Kelly and Evie both got bacon cheeseburgers which came with a choice of two sides. Both chose fries and slaw. Nice big fat chips which Id not seen at Disney before. Both enjoyed their burgers.

Lily went for a kids Mac and cheese. She chose a cookie and grapes as her two sides. She loved the Mac and cheese.

I went for something different but Id had my eye on it for ages. The Beignet Burger. This was delicious. Not sure Id get it again but Im pleased I tried it. Think a burger with donuts as the buns. Sorry Im not more descriptive but like I said I was half asleep.

We also asked to switch the drinks for snack credits which was fine on the adult meals but we were unable to this on a kids q/s meal. I also asked if we could eats our mains first and get the snack credits after. This was fine and she wrote it on the receipt.

When we went back we chose a cookie, Mickey Ears brownie and an Aladdin cupcake. If Im being honest not all of those have been eaten yet!

Overall not to bad at all

4 q/s credits used.
