Return of the Rescuer – Another day another outlet - Day 2 - 4.7.19
Return of the Rescuer – Day 2 – 4.7.19
Index is here Another early morning, 5.20am this time. Once Dh was awake, again I embarked on my annoying of dh to see if he would go get me coffee. Finally, about an hour later he relented and went down to Starbucks to get me some. Another healthy breakfast of Krispy Kreme, and I wonder why I put on weight… We were a little slower getting ready this morning, but we had no real plans so it wasn’t a big deal at all. I quite like having a relaxed start to the holiday. Dh chose Dennys this morning for breakfast, I have to say I do prefer Ihop but Dennys is a short walk away. I-Drive was deserted. We were seated straight away but had to move tables as Dh was dripped on from the air con vent. Dh had the French toast grand slam with milkshake. Ds had the grand slam slugger and shared the pancakes with me. He also had a kids milkshake. I had the create your own grand slam with a diet coke. It was all very nice but I thought ihop was better. Dh thought both of them were a much of a muchness. More shopping became the plan today much to the disgust of Ds. Outlets first followed by Walmart. We grabbed an Uber with the intention of only doing a certain selection of shops. We had a look in North Face but there was nothing that took my fancy, I didn’t really think there were any quality offers either. Next up Disney, I was hoping that they had some of the vintage dresses but no such luck, although I believe they have them now, typical. Again, the only one who really benefited from the trip here was ds who got a few tops, these ranged in price from $4.99 to $7.99. I also dragged ds to the Children’s Place, he really likes the shorts from here for gym. He was unimpressed at the thought but he ended up with 3 pairs of shorts and a top that he adores for $24. I managed to find ds some cheap but nice sunglasses in Fossil and I managed to resist buying a bag, yay for me! I’d already ordered some real bargain Bath and Body Works stuff that I’d had sent to Fairytale Personal Shopper but I couldn’t resist a wee visit. I was very restrained and spent just enough to be able to use my $10 discount voucher they had sent me. It was heaving and the line to pay was massive, while we were in there there was at least 3 big crashes of the big glass candles getting knocked over and smashing. By this point the outlets were crazy busy and the car parking was like a scene from whacky races. Luckily there was an Uber just minutes away and we were off on our way to Walmart. Considering ds hates shopping in Asda with a vengeance, he is always remarkably keen on a visit to Walmart. Lots of snacks and couple of Orlando City tops for me and ds. I do love the fruity diet cokes. After we got back we had lunch from the lite bite at the hotel. Pepperoni pizza which was great and only $12. The pool was looking good but unfortunately there was lightning in the area so we settled on a nap instead along with pulling out the extra case to put all the shopping again, ready to move to Universal in the morning. We had dinner booked at Maggianos and one of Dh’s friends was staying across the road at the Rosen Inn Pointe Orlando so we nipped in to see them for a bit before heading for food. Maggianos was heaving. I joined their email club again and got a voucher for $10 off if you spent $40 on food which is very easilyy done. For drinks ds had a Diet Coke, I had a frozen peach Bellini (amazing) and Dh had a peroni. The bread was lovely but I tried not to eat much as the portions are pretty huge here. For mains I had the chicken saltimboca which was really nice. Dh had the gnocchi and Italian sausage. He really liked this but said it was very rich. Ds had the Tuscan chicken and shrimp which again he enjoyed but found it very rich, it defeated him. The service was good as was the food, our priciest meal so far but pretty nice. By the time dinner was finished we were all shattered again and decided on another early night. We could see some of the fireworks off in the distance, not a clue where they were and not the best photos. Fast asleep early ready for the holiday to begin properly tomorrow with a move to HRH and Universal! Day 3 is here

Which outlets did you go to out of interest? Been many a year since shopping was involved on our trip, but may have a venture out this time! 😉

Another laid back day, I'd have been itching to get to the parks, but then maybe because you'd had the Easter and Christmas trips you didn't feel the urgency so much and could allow yourself some time to aclimatise and actually relax at the beginning of your holiday.
You did well to resist buying a bag. Some fab t shirts there, shame they didn't have any dresses.

Thanks for reading along. 11 year old boys they are a mystery - part toddler part teenager!
I think we've had a more chilled out start on the last few holidays and I do enjoy it, although I also love getting straight to the parks like the 6am start at MK on Christmas Day on day 1. As long as I know I am going to get plenty park time I'm happy. I do like those disney dresses but for $128 (unless in the outlet) I'd be wanting to be able to wear it everywhere... I spent a bit of time admiring them all at Disney Springs but couldn't bring myself to purchase one. I've ordered an HP one from the Carolina Dress Room here and they also do some nice disney styles so I'll see what thats like when it arrives, £45 is much more reasonable.
