British Airways Price Match

So BA say they’ll guarantee they’re provide lowest price so I wondered how this works. I’ve found the same flights cheaper on Travel Up but I ld rather book direct with BA. If I phone BA will they price match?

I don't know for certain how it works but the first thing I'd do is take a screen shot of both airlines' quotes to show that the precise details are identical. Sorry if this goes without saying 😂

if you google the guarantee it gives you the exact specifics of what u need to prove its the same fare (you can only claim online so they wouldn't price match on the phone, you would need to buy the BA one first then screen shot the travel up one)you may want to try a dummy booking with travel up first to see if it comes out on the payment page exactly the same as the headline fare with the same luggage costs etc.it wouldnt be valid on a BA flight that is codeshare /running as an AA flight.

Take lots of screen shots, including the payment page, with date stamps etc. BA metal only.

Can you see the actual fare with another provider, or just Economy /Premium Economy etc? As they could be different fare codes within the same band (some are no changes / non refundable through to fully flexible).

I expect the fare code will be the downfall of this.

You'll get a price from BA that'll be Y or T or something, but then get a price from an online agent that will be the same in everyway but will be a S or V or something and so therefore not the same and therefore won't qualify as a match.
