On a ‘day to day‘ level, I will feel it’s more normal when my kids go back to school (although not looking forward to the chaos and uncertainty of pandemic GCSEs and A levels again this year) and my son starting work at some point in September when his friends go to uni. I have been lucky that my 5 kids being home for almost 6 months has been mostly lovely, but I have really missed having the house to myself, even if just for a few hours. I haven’t had any time to myself for a single day since 2 weeks before lockdown and as selfish as it sounds, I miss it. 7 adult bodies in the house, 5 of us 24/7 gets a bit much sometimes and even simple things like cleaning, changing beds and tidying is easier without bodies in every room. My 18yo has ASD and ADHD, I love him to death but he hasn’t left the house since March and is glued to my side 24/7. He hasn’t taken his medication since March because he doesn’t leave the house and whilst he is an amazing human, he is very full on.
Going to the football. I didn’t realise just how much of our life revolves around football until it stopped. I mean, I knew we loved it and have been in the stands come rain or shine for years now but I didn’t realise just how much I would crave the whole experience until it was gone. I can’t remember life before football as I come from a football family and I can’t wait to get back into the stadiums. The biggest thing for me though, is to have events, trips and holidays planned that will not be cancelled. Just last night our hopes were dashed when our trip to DLP tomorrow was cancelled at the eleventh hour. I’m fed up of being disappointed and can’t wait for normal service to be resumed. being back at work in the office, and not feeling like i have to wipe everything down compulsively, wearing normal office clothes, offering clients a coffee and chatting to them while they wait for their meeting, being able to help my adviser in meetings by taking notes ect. (i am back from furlough 2 days a week at the moment, but its weird, its a bit of a struggle tbh, but im grateful i have a job to get back to)
oh and being able to shop without a mask - i went to the county mall in crawley and usually i can wander round for a while, but after doing primark we were fed up of masks and ready to get out!

Give my wife a kiss and a cuddle. She has been telling me to socially distance from her for the last three years. Funny I never new Covid 19 had been around that long 😚

For me it’s about planning , be it holidays , visits , concerts .
I love a bit of planning and anticipation and I can only imagine it’s even harder for those who love a spreadsheet and meticulous holiday planning to the nth degree Not to be able to with any degree of certainty |

Being able to book a trip away without holding back on looking forward to it in case it gets cancelled.
Knowing my brother could visit us from the US, or vice versa is a big one.
