The Barkers hit 40 pre-trip report

Hiya

I did start one of these for our trip next year as we were going in August 2012 but thought we would have to cancel so deleted it... we are going but in May 2012 now

We are:
Me- Sarah- will be 40
Dh- Lee- Will also be 40
Ds1- Ethan - will be 11
Dd- Ella- will be 9
Ds2- Dillon- will be 5

It is a lot cheaper and we still get to have free DDP. So the plan is Saratoga springs resort for 16 nights 24th May- 9th June and flights with Aer Lingus if they are within budget. And Aer Lingus as we can fly locally for a change from Birmingham. Please keep your fingers crossed for us.

The only thing I have booked is SSR and 14 day Disney tickets with Complete Orlando, now I have to be patient and wait for the flights to be released... I am not patient at the best of times LOL

We have decided no Universal this trip and we were going to do Discovery cove. To save costs we decided Dh and Ds1 would go to KSC and dine with an astronaught and DD, Ds2 and I would go to Discovery cove. Ds2 would only be 5 and 8 months though and I would hate for them to say on the day no he cant swim so have decided not to go to discovery cove this time and instead if it is on a Family fun tour at seaworld... and maybe even a dolphin in depth tour too..only for us 3 though

The kids wanted to go to Busch gardens again as we only got 1 day there last year and it was the first time then.

So to fit in we have.

(Aquatica)- if the offer is on the ticket

DHS
Epcot
TL
BB
KSC-Big boys
Gatorland
Disney mini golf

and if time allows boggycreak.

At least it bought the countdown down... just over a year to go

No I had to be brutal...we did it in 2009 and 2010 and just havent the money or the time... if I can wangle it and add a couple of days onto the holiday then it will be a maybe

Last year we stayed at the Hard rock and dont think we could go now without staying those FOLP were fab

There are 5 of us so a little more economical but we got the glitch rate so wasnt so bad, I havent priced up for next year because I am trying to be good LOL

Hi Sarah, fab start, another one not doing Universal this time, as we did it last time, and although we enjoyed, feel if we go again we will do it then.

Great start we too are waiting patiently for flights! Only have villa booked at the moment will do more planning when I know my flights are booked. Look forward to reading more.
