Mobile Does anyone NOT get a grocery delivery when on DDP?

Can you help with a disagreement me and hubby are having?

He thinks as we are on DDP we don’t need to go shopping, I disagree and think we need stuff like water, kids snacks, milk etc. He reckons it’s a waste of money paying out for the delivery when we will have the DDP and refillable mugs and can get enough in hotel shop.

We will have a car and could go to a supermarket but both absolutely loath it so I was thinking of getting a delivery this time. We’ve used Gaden grocer in the past and they were great but we found the prices extortionate and my DH is thinking delivery services are generally very expensive. I tried alternatives like Instacart but couldn’t see the service cost.

So my question is has anyone not been grocery shopping when they have DDP? Particularly if you have kids/little kids? How did you get on?

Thanks

No children with us anymore but even when they were with us we have never had a grocery shop when on either the QSDP or the DDP.

So on this occasion we’d agree with your other half !

We’ve never had a delivery and don’t go to a supermarket either. There is so much food on ddp that it’s not needed. We’ve never paid oop for any food whilst on ddp either.

We don’t intend to have one , we will just pick up a bottle of milk at the resort shop .

We’ve never had a grocery delivery when on the DDP or otherwise. If we fancy any snacks we pop to the onsite shop We usually have a trip to Walmart sometime in the trip mainly to just wander about and buy a few goodies or cheap t-shirts.

Not that we have stayed in site yet- first time next year. I’m with you. Defo doing a shop, either order through a delivery or Uber to Walmart.
My kids are fussy eaters, they will need snacks in the room, need bottles of water, milk, fruit, biscuits. It won’t be much but it will be needed.

We never got a delivery. My youngest is a fussy eater but we were able to get cereal and milk as a snack credit and found that we had plenty of food (and choice) on the plan.
