BA to withdraw from Tokyo Narita in Mar 2020

This probably won't affect man Dibb members but worth a look if you are using BA or planning a trip to Tokyo.

If anyone is travelling to Tokyo Narita on BA from March 28th I would suggest you contact BA as soon as possible as they are withdrawing their Narita service and making their Haneda service double daily. They will make arragements to move you to one of these services and help sort out seats/special requests etc.

Personally I see this as a good move as Haneda is much more convenient with the easy monorail service into the ity centre - Narita is always a pain as it is so far out.

Thank you - I will look into this as we are supposed to fly into Narita in May with BA. We have not been informed of any change.

The last full service to NRT is 28th March and it has just been announced so not yet updated on the BA website. Hope you get sorted out OK.

Thanks for this. We were due to fly back from Narita in August. Haven't heard anything but checked my booking and it has indeed switched to Haneda.

We have just received an email from BA 10 minutes ago re this change. At the moment it’s only our flight out but no doubt our return flight will be changed also. I don’t mind flying into Haneda as we now arrive around 10 minutes earlier and it takes less time to get into Tokyo.

Edit: Received second email. Now flying back from Haneda with the only difference being being 15 minutes later leaving a Haneda. Perfect!

Edited at 02:30 PM.

Thanks for this. We are supposed to be flying in to Narita and out of Haneda in August. Flying in to Haneda will be much more cheaper and convenient getting into the city o that’s a plus 😊

Thank you for this, we have a (corporate) number of Narita flights booked but hadn’t been told.

I’ve been offered a refund if I’m not happy as they have cancelled the flight. I wonder if there is anyone who is actually hell bent on going to Narita? I for one am really happy about it.

I thought Haneda was closer:-

Haneda to Tokyo Disneyland driving time approx 25-30 minutes just over 24 kms

Narita to Tokyo Disneyland driving time approx 55 minutes to 1 hour at 58kms
