Alton Towers Waterpark

I'm pretty sure I've just seen that the waterpark is reopening on 25th so I guess that means our holiday is going ahead! tried to book a day ticket with the sun tokens and they are all sold out - what! how did that happen! I'm not sure they've even all been released yet

Yes it has opened up as I booked yesterday (not with sun tokens) for the 31st July as we’ll be staying over .
I think with the reduced capacity you’ll have to be super quick to book but saying that ,you may have answered your own question and not all days may be available to book just yet.
I’d keep checking which is what AT told us to do last week . Hope you get some .

I've booked the waterpark today for next Tuesday.

Enjoy! We went on Friday and had a great time .
Really loved the outdoor slides especially in the heat and it was much more pleasant with the reduced capacity

So glad it's pleasant with the reduced capacity. I've only ever been in term time before when it's completely dead, but with DD now being at school, we have to go in the holidays. She's only 5, but when I asked if she wanted to go she got so excited.

While DH is working next week I'm taking a couple of days off to have some girls days out.

We have only ever been in Easter or summer hols so it’s definitely quieter than that but probably busier than when you’re used to going .
There’s hand gel around and markers etc so that’s good .

We went the other weekend, we stayed in the hotel for 3 days and couldnt prebook but they allowed us as hotel guests to book when there.

Must say it was actually busier than I was expecting.

When we went last week, I must admit it was busier than I expected, but apart from the queue for the tube slides it wasn’t that bad. It did get busy around 3pm, and at times distancing left a lot to be desired, but myself and DD had a lovely time, and we’re there for 4 1/2 hours, where apart from lunch we didn’t stop moving.
