Confused re Use Year

I'm suffering with brain freeze - please help

I have a 125 point contract with an October use year. I am currently sitting on 136 points (11 borrowed from 2019).

We are hoping to travel April 2022. Am I right in thinking I will have 250 points available to use (2020 & 2021) plus any I borrow from 2022 (taking into account any borrowing limits which then apply)?

I thought I had it sorted but now I am doubting myself

I'm very new to this but all the calculations are very fresh in my mind so here goes with my understanding...

I think you will lose the 11 points (do you mean are they banked from 2019?) unless you use them by September 30th 2021.

You'll get 125 points in October 2020 - you'll need to bank these.
You'll get 125 points in October 2021.

To go in April 2022, you'll have 250 points to use plus anything you want to borrow from the October 2022 points (borrowing limits allowing).

That's my understanding anyway!

Yes, that's what we would have presumed, 250 points plus any that you are allowed to borrow from Oct 2022 - Sept 2023.

Thank you. I'm not exactly new to this game and I really thought I had a handle on it but for some reason I am doubting everything I thought I knew. The tip about booking a single night is good, but it would have to be in September I think because I lose those points beginning of October?

Yes, your right and we amended our post, try renting a US holiday like Mothers day or Memorial or Independence Day.

Added: But maybe best to start looking to rent those 11-points as soon as possible and for 10-points there's a few nights in a standard studio at BWV in Nov and if it doesn't rent just keep changing the reservation to the next available date.
