Self checkout machines can be a right pain, the last one I used wouldn't weigh the bananas, so I had to go and pay for those separately at another till.

The weather definitely is a common one! As well as carrier bags.

As for cashiers throwing stuff at you... that’s just Aldi! At my store at least we scan through then let you pack, or help you etc. Good service
