Just Cancelled Res/ Points Question?

Hi
I have just cancelled a DVC booking For August which was used borrowing 2020 Points.
These points have been returned to use year 2019.
When do i need to use or rent these points by?
Will i be able bank these points?

I own at SSR and have a December Use Year.

Should i ask Member Services to return them to Use Year 2020 under the circumstances?

I would highly recommend calling Member Services and asking them to "unborrow" the points. I am 99% sure they will do that for you. I have a bunch of recent sellers who did that and Disney did indeed "unborrow" the points for them. If you don't unborrow the points they need to be used by 12/1/20. You can't bank borrowed points.

You may struggle to get through as the DVC member services number has been engaged all of today so far and cuts off after about 10 seconds.

I have just managed to get through on chat.

I have had my 135 points (June use year ) put back into my account and have until May 2021 to use them and my 65 borrowed points have been put back as well

We have just cancelled our booking and the points were returned to 2019 use year but were actually borrowed from 2020. Called member services, waited 45 mins and all sorted. The points were transferred back to 2020 use year.

This is a relief to know. We borrowed a few points from next use year and the e-mail just sent out sounded like they wouldn't let you 'unborrow' them.

This has given me peace of mind, thank you.

Thank goodness as we have this exact same issue - was so worried as need them to go back into the use year they came from (2020) so I can use them for the trio we have move to August this year (from April)

Dvc are now advising they as of today they will not return the points to the use year we borrowed from so we will lose all our points
