Thank you for all your helpful replies to other people who asked for tips. Your trip for your son's wedding must have been amazing. I took lots of advice from all your posts.

I'm really excited for the boat trip. But I know we are going to get soaked. I figure we will go straight back to the hotel and get changed, but I have to say I'm a bit worried our shoes won't dry out before we fly home!

Thank you, that's what I've read too. I plan on us getting a taxi or uber from our hotel and then spend the day there. We don't drive abroad but it seems worth it to make the trip. Seems much nicer than the 'strip' part of Niagara.

We had a pretty smooth pre travel day, then we had a nightmare journey to the airport, but thankfully arrived in time. I took loads of photos, but discovered the next day that there was a problem. I spoke about this on the pre trip report...since we've been home Dave has tried to find a way to get the photos off my SD card and onto Google Photos or downloaded to the PC, but no luck so I'm sharing this without the usual photos I would insert. I hope you enjoy it.

And here is day 1 - Niagara Falls boat trip and the walk to the Dufferin Islands Nature Reserve.

And here is day 2 - we got an uber to Niagara on the Lake then visited the butterfly conservatory before walking back along the Niagara trail back to our hotel.

Today we said goodbye to Niagara and hello to Toronto. Here is day 3. Once again we watched the sunrise from our room and then caught the bus to Toronto, where we took the ferry over to explore Toronto Islands.

Here is day 4 we had breakfast at St Lawrence Market, then walked through the Distillery District, Riverdale Park and Toronto Old Town.

This is day 5.

We headed north to Yonge-Dundas square, Toronto City Hall, the university and Casa Loma. It was a lovely sunny day and we had fun exploring the city.
