August 2018 - when to book?
Hi all
We're hoping to return to Florida for the 3rd time next August, previously we've been in February and booked with Travel City Direct. Can anyone advise when we would be best to book flights and who with? A flydrive is coming up at £3200 flying out on 20th August which is the latest we could fly. We live in the midlands but usually fly from Manchester and would prefer to fly direct. Tia 2 adults and 2 children (1 aged 12). Edited at 08:39 PM. |

Most flights are released about 11 months before although Thomas Cook flights to Orlando are out now. TC flights to Miami are worth a look but not sure when they are going to be out.
So if you're looking at next August it's going to be September for the best choice but then you have to look out for flash sales which could be any time from then on. Some people have had bargains 11 months out, others near Christmas. Best advice is to keep glued to the Dibb for bargains!

I booked last week for 17th August 2018 - 2A and 2C (11 and 10). 2wks at Clarion Inn LBV with flights from Glasgow for £3540.40 (paid extra for pre bookable seats) with Thomson. We live in Manchester but price is around £800-£1000 less than flying from Manchester. Tickets for Disney and Universal came in at £2500. All booked online so have £106 cashback from Thomson and £51 for park tickets to come back. Hope that helps. Also booked a night in Glasgow plus 16 nights car parking for £92 (with 10% cashback to come) taking price to £83ish
