Money money money
Trying to figure out how much currency in £s to take. This will be my first time going to Florida without my family and so because of that I wont have a car and will be using Uber etc. My friend and I are staying at Cabana bay. All park tickets are paid for. My Dad reckons I should take between £1000 and £1400, just for me not my friend. What do you guys think? I'd rather have too much and come back home with dollars than not have enough and have to watch my spends.
I eat at places like Denny's as well as places like Hard rock. As long as it's good food I don't care, nothing fancy for me. I like to shop but not planning on bringing back anything too costly, just a few souvenirs etc. I know it's a bit of a how longs a piece of string kind of question but I'd appreciate any opinions, and also you may think of something that I haven't remembered. Thanks in advance. |

How long are you going for?
When staying off site I go for $100 a day but then normally end up rounding it up before I leave to cover all the extra snacks |

Do you need actual cash? We take minimal notes (about $300) and put the rest on a Halifax Clarity card (gets a better exchange rate as well).

Well when me and the mrs go for 14nights we usually take around $2000 each but i do buy lots of trainers as over here size 14s arnt very common lol also the mrs is a shopaholic and loves jimmy choo and good food . Everyone is different i guess sooo id plan for about £1400 and if u dont spend it all then you can just change it back, better to have too much than not enough

I read it as they put the rest of their spending on card, not that they paid cash onto the card in advance. Which is exactly what I do.
I take very little cash on holiday now, just enough to cover incidentals. Took $200 on my last trip, came back with $150. Everything else went on card. |

I'd go $100 a day or so, although we've been known to top up the FairFX on holiday
