Is this a good price...

I am new to the "package" holiday thing as I have always booked myself in the past.

However I contacted Charter Travel for a quote for next Easter and they have come back with this:

3 adults 1 child (its scary when your eldest starts to get classed as an adult )
28 March 2019 (Easter School Holidays)
Direct flights from Glasgow to MCO with Full Size 4 door Car Hire
Named 4 bedroom villa in Oak Island Cove
£4,700

Can anyone advise if this is a good offer or not? TIA

1 week or 2?

Depends on the villa suppose. We used a villa of the dibb near champions gate and it was £450 a week, and was great.

Price villas up on here and then you know how much you are paying for flydrive. We are paying £520 each for flydrive beginning of August for 3 weeks car hire.

If your use to booking DIY in the past, try pricing up the same package yourself, then you will see if its good or bad.
Youve put March 2017, Easter is the end of April in 2019

To me, its a little on the high side for a last minute booking for just flights, car and Villa.

Our Easter holidays in Edinburgh are 8-22nd April next year so I would
Say a little high. Oak island Cove is a great area to stay though.

Sorry its 2019 - changed it now (one of those days) , think I will hold off and see what the flights are like later in the year then.

You are being quoted a premium as the flights arent released yet. I would wait a few months.
28th March 2019 is over 4 weeks before Easter, so should be cheap time.

I agree that for 2 weeks it does seem a bit high. We’ve paid around the same when going for 3 weeks in July with car hire (7str minivan) and choosing our own villa going diy. I know Easter can be expensive and I’ve never been at that time but I wouldn’t have thought it would be much different to July. Others who have been at Easter will know better though. I would definitely hang off and check out flight prices once they’re released. You could always have a look at villas and it would give you an idea of what the villa part will cost you.

Just to add to those saying that Easter is late in 2019 schools in my area always take the first 2 weeks in April regardless of when Easter actually falls. If Easter is later they still get the Friday/Monday holiday. This year we have Friday 30th March off then 2 full weeks. I’m guessing the OP’s are does something similar.

So, the schools have 2 weeks of for Easter, then go back to school and then get a long weekend for Easter. Seems insane.

May actually work out good for the OP then as his dates are after Spring break, but before holiday in Florida. Should be quiet in the parks.
