I wore my usual soft contact lenses in all the water parks last year, I just put my goggles on for every ride, I was absolutely fine. I literally wouldn’t be able to see anything otherwise.

I have prescription googles which I wear for normal swimming. However I looked a complete prat walking about the water park wearing googles. So now I just take my normal glasses and a waterproof pounch for keeping them in. Lost my varifocals once on the lazy river. They were rimless so basically invisible when in the water. My wife who was about 30 yards behind me in the river found them. Thank goodness as I had no idea how we were going to drive from the park to the villa without them. Would have had to wear my googles for driving.

I wore my contacts once but ended up with irritated eyes and couldn't wear contacts the rest of the holiday (i didn't own prescription sunnies at the time so was a massive pain for the rest of the hols). Pretty much straight after the trip went to my opticians and got prescription sunnies which I've used without incident at all water parks since. .

Agree with most here. Would wear lenses. Don't like the idea of goggles and would definitely take a spare pair and my glasses.

Same as above, I wear my normal monthly contacts at the water parks. Looking after the kids and in most areas/rides, etc I find I barely end up in/under water so its just never really been a problem. Always have glasses as back up. I wear contacts most days and for sports, and short sighted at -7.0.

To be honest it would completely ruin my experience if I couldn't see or had to wear goggles the whole time, especially with a 6 and 2 year old to run after, so we probably wouldn't go to the water parks much if I couldn't wear contacts.

At the villa I wear goggles more often if we are playing around or swimming in the pool as more underwater etc.

I always wash or replace contacts well after swimming or being at the water parks regardless and I have never had a problem. As someone who has suffered from Uveitis/Iritis in recent years I am very conscious about anything to do with my eyes now but I will be wearing my contacts when we go to BB and TL in May
