Alamo -online check in help

Hi, I’ve read the sticky but can’t find the answer. I’ve done online check in and printed off the voucher with a barcode on - there isn’t an option to do skip the line? We booked through pillinger and the car hire was through a third party. We fly into Miami. Basically can we go straight to the garage or do we need to go to the counter?

Skip the counter is what you are able to do after checking in on line. STC is not another process requiring another form.

The bar code with your D/L and credit card (or compliant debit card) is all you need. Some say print the Alamo voucher as well but I've never been asked for it. The bar code page repeats all the information on the voucher anyway.

Hi all, Just wanted to double check this. I've done online check in & printed the form with barcode & driving licence info on. Do I just need to show CC/DC at the barrier on exit, or do I need to add CC/DC info online first. Does the form with barcode need to show CC/DC info on it?

Some Dibbers do say they have filled in another form after OLCI with CC details on it but I never have.

Handing over the bar code, D/L and card at the barrier has always worked for us.

Thanks Mick, We don't need to add any extras. Pre paid for fuel & extra drivers through DFCH so I guess I'll leave it as is.

You've just reminded me of something else I meant to say when you mentioned Andy.

There's no point in putting a CC number on the STC form because it may not be the one you swipe at the barrier. You could have paid Andy in mungo beans or folding green stuff - has no relevance at the barrier when you book through a third party broker like DFCH.

Just make sure that you get a receipt with zero balance on it when you return the car.
