Using DDP credits to pay for friends dinner

When our Son was working in Orlando we went to visit and we were on the Dining Plan - we paid for his meals with out credits and wasn't asked once. I honestly don't think the server cares as long as you have enough credits to pay - after all you've paid for the dining credits.

That’s my thoughts exactly. I’ve paid for deluxe dining plan so if I want to buy my friends dinner then that’s my choice hey? Let’s see how it pans out 😂😂

How does the server know that your friends are not on your hotel reservation.? Do they check passports to the faces of those sat with you?

Many people with left over credits, buy food for others to eat. Fact.

My big question is has anyone done this at Planet Hollywood or Hoop Dee Doo? I think HDD will be fine as it’s all prepaid but not so clear on PH

Very true. They are linked to my account anyway for fastpasses so I’m just going to go with it. It’s only a couple of meals. And hoop Dee doo which is prepay anyway and I’ve booked it no problem using credits.

When you use your MB it shows how many occupants are registered to your room.

We have not had any problems using DxDDP in previous years so we are hoping that there won’t be any problems Oct/Nov this year. I think that DIS reported that one of the Italian Restaurants in Epcot refused some customers DxDDP sharing but cannot remember which one.

The only time I’ve heard of it being an issue is in the non Disney owned hotels - so that sounds like one of the Patina Group hotels saying no ...


I guess one way round it for us is my party is one adult one child (11) theirs is one adult one child (10) so in reality the kids will order from kids menus so if we are told no I use the credits for 2 adults then my friend pays OOP for two kids so it’s in her favour and we split the tip...
