Mobile Plug adapter for Italy

Off to Sorrento next week and have read a couple of reports suggesting that normal European plug adapters don’t always work in Italy and others saying that they’re fine! Can anyone advise me which sort I need to take please-thanks

I’m in Italy on holiday right now and they have the regular European plug sockets at my hotel. So the European adaptor should be fine.

Thanks is that Southern Italy as just read something saying there's a difference between North and South but was quite an old article and seemed a bit bizarre!

We have always used the normal European adapter in the Naples area, including Sorrento.

I bought the travel adapter plugs from home bargains for 99p each and they worked fine in Rome and Naples.

Also got the USA ones from home bargains for 99p and they worked fine in New York and Florida.

Hope you have a fab holiday.

I travel most weeks with work across all Europe and the normal European adapters work all over Italy, been doing this for over 10 years and never had a problem.
