You can go to either side. MCO is basically a symmetrical mirror image with most stuff, including the car hire, replicated both sides.
We always go to B for two reasons. Nearest to monorail 4 where all UK flights arrive into the concourse. Secondly the exit to 417 south is almost immediately as you leave the B garage. Car is on autopilot then. Mick

if you don't have checked luggage, or fly internationally and don't use second bag claim, then it doesn't matter , it's symmetrical, use whichever you want
if you arrive domestically or need to use secondary bag claim , then you'll already be on one side, and one garage will be closest, one level down from the claim. |

It's just a convenience for us really and I don't know if anyone can say which side offers the most choice. Although I've never actually sprinted down to side B to check the choice then back up to level 3 and down to the garage on side A to compare. Side A marginally better if you leave via 528 north to get off the airport gyratory.
MCO is a 24/7 operation so cars are being returned from 12.01 am to 11.59 pm with drivers landing from over 800 flights of which maybe a dozen, at most, are from the UK. Mick
