Restaurants in DLP

Hi all,

I've never been to DLP before and considering a trip this October for three nights & four days. The current deal I'm looking at gives you free half board plus dining plan and staying at Sequioa Lodge.

From what I can see you have breakfast at your hotel, but half board plus allows you to eat at some of the park restaurants - so which ones would you recommend? I like the look of Chez Remy's and Agrabah but wondered if you had any other suggestions?

Thanks!

We are also going in October. Could I just point out that the free breakfast doesn’t give you a hotel breakfast. You just get a quick service pastry, juice and a hot drink. You are only told where you can use your breakfast voucher when you check in to the hotel but it is in the park not the hotel. You can top up the voucher to pay for a hotel breakfast. I think it is about €12 each dependent on hotel.

I keep changing my mind about the restaurants! At the minute it is Plaza Gardens, Billy Bobs and pay extra for Inventions. We have the standard plan. We have paid £20 each for a character breakfast.

Edited to say this is the case in the UK offer. I believe some other countries possibly the German site offer do still include the hotel breakfast.

Edited at 02:16 PM.

agrabah is amazing - delicious food and fantastic theming.

i was really disappointed with Plaza Gardens. i thought the layout made for a very echoey and noisy dining experience, lots of people getting up and down. The starters were poor, basically just lettuce and hams/cheese. The main meals looked like they had been sat out too long, the mussels were the grittiest things ever. puddings weren't exciting either. i didn't eat much and i wouldn't go there again.

we ate at Des Stars which was quite good, but not a lot of theming.

have fun!

Mixed opinions, but I like Annette's in the village. X

Bear in mind the park restaurants may close several hours before the parks do. Off season sometimes 3pm is the latest sitting.

We have enjoyed Bistrot Chez Remy, Walt’s (which is now premium so you would need to pay extra), Captain Jack’s.

Outside the parks you have the Village and the hotel restaurants. Hunter’s Grill buffet at Sequoia Lodge is very good. Our meal at the Steakhouse wasn’t great but that could have been a one-off.

If you've got the plus dining plan like we had there is lots of choice. We like the buffet meals. Our favourite is Billy bobs in the Disney village. Cape cod is also very nice. We weren't keen on plaza gardens and it was always very busy. Make your reservations I think 60 days before or something. We planned each day and booked ours for 6 or 6.30 after the parade which usually ends around 5.30.
