Mobile Moving resorts at check in

Bit of a strange one but I was wondering if anyone has ever asked to move Disney resorts when checking in? If so how accommodating are they and is it easy to do?

Bit of background, we had to book our trip with Tui as we had already booked something else and basically changed destinations to Disney so we didn’t loose the £700 deposit we had already paid...

we are currently booked at PORS which looks lovely BUT we are considering saving some extra money and asking to move to a suite at AOA on check in. Obviously if it’s full then it will be a no go which is fine.

The reason we can’t change before we go is that we need extra time to save some more, Tui will charge a stupid fee just to change and they don’t have availability for our dates anyways.

It’s possible if they have availability but I would think unlikely for a suite at AOA as they are very popular. You can but ask 🙂.

If you look online with WWD you can see if they have availability for your dates now - just an indication as thinks can obviously change on the day.

So far it looks like they still have cars suites available!

If you could change resort, which I think Disney would accommodate if space allowed, I’d think it’s unlikely that they would refund anything to you unfortunately.

As you’ve booked via TUI I’d think they would tell you that any amendments need to go via the agent and as such you’d be liable for the costs quoted previously.

Only my view though and I’m sure someone more knowledgeable than me will confirm either way.

Have a great trip.
Oh no we are looking to pay extra no refund! A suite would cost more than a room at riverside 😊

Is there anyone out there that has successfully requested to move resorts at check in?

Did you get free dining ? If so they will normally only really move you to a free dining room if available. And isn’t pOr qs and AOA breakfast?

i moved after a couple of hours of checkin from the Poly to the Beach Club and was refunded the difference in cost..They were very obliging but that was because of being dissatisfied.I booked through Disney though! ..Definitely try asking...

I think the dining plan may be an issue if you got it free, you may not retain that with a move ? I am not sure but just be aware as it may be extra money that you weren’t expecting to pay

Isn’t a suite at AoA more expensive? If so and they do have availability when you check in, you would have to pay the difference in what you have already paid and the rack rate for AoA which is likely to be very high.

Also as others have said, if you have free dining at POR you would lose this moving to a lower category resort.
