Local buses in LA

We were going to do the HOHO bus in LA, but the reviews state quite long waits for buses and we haven't got a huge amount of time.
Has anyone had experience of using the local bus system, is it easy. Would it be easy to get from Hollywood and Highland to the Original Farmers market and Beverley Hills and Rodeo drive? Any help would be appreciated.

Hi could I suggest you have a look at a map, LA is massive and perhaps better to hire a car.

Sorry never used the buses but Uber/Lyft is cheap and readily available all over the city.

Hi - there is a bus that goes all along Santa Monica boulevard from Hollywood to the coast (Santa Monica) which passes Beverley Hills and Rodeo Drive.

Not sure about Farmers Market but as per above Lyft/Uber are fairly cheap.

Look at the maps on metro dot net, covers buses as well as metro. I think it is the system map. Once you have a bus number you can look at the timetable.
