We visited Italy for the first time last year and loved it, definitely want to explore more of the country. We stayed in Venice, we flew with EasyJet, and booked through Booking.com, a lovely boutique bed and breakfast hotel, Ca’ Gottardi which was excellent and we would definitely stay there again if we returned.

We used the vaporetto to visit the island of Murano and Burano and on another day we visited the Lido. There was so much to see and do in Venice though

We are going to Lake Garda end of this month. We are 2 adults and 2 teenage daughters. First time as a family to Italy and really looking forward to it. Any suggestions or advice, feel free to share.
Op I also visited Sorrento in April with a group of friends. Absolutely stunning we stayed AI in Mela which was about 20 mins by shuttle bus from hotel. Will definitely be going back to Sorrento, it is such a beautiful area and coastline is breathtaking. Didn’t have time for boat trip to Capri but it is on my to-do list.

We went to Naples and visited Pompeii last year and had a fabulous time. I've been lucky enough to visit Rome a few times and loved it. When we went to Rome last Nov we were lucky enough to attend mass at the vatican with the pope.

Thank you all so much. We love Italy and would love to explore it more. We were meant to be visiting Italy this year but Disney won. I think this will be our last Disney holiday for a while and visit Italy more.

We’re off to Sorento next week. DD went to Lake Garda with the school and loved it. Think she went to a place called Simione which she said was lovely near there

If you have a few days more a Tuscany road trip is brilliant. We did 8days, flying in/out of Bologna and rented a car. We stayed in/ visited Florence, Siena, the wine route, San Gimignano, Voltaire, Pisa, Cinque Terre, Portofino and Lucca. Absolutely beautiful.
If you only have a few days, Venice is ideal.
