It was such a shock to us when they went, we had two weeks to go until our holiday, and woke up that morning to my radio saying they had gone bust! Like you I was booked with virgin by 9am for just over 2k, didn’t realise they soon after put there prices up
I still have all my old TCD brochures etc!

We was due to go with TCD 2 weeks before they went boobs up. Luckily we found out Tui, think it was still Thomson at the time, was helping out by rebooking and then they’d claim the monies back to save us having to wait. We spent a whole day in a Thomson travel agent sorting it out. We had same hotel, park tickets, car hire and indirect flights with United and only had to pay an extra £400 for a party of 8.

i was on the old TCD forum same user name and moved to here when it closed, i still miss the sunshine first seats! such good value.

In 2011 TCD were advertising 2 weeks at the hard rock hotel for £899 each including flights with Virgin.
Phoned up to book, sorry deal sold...
That night at midnight, they put the offer on again but this time for 4 adults instead of 2... Phoned up 9am sharp, they umm'd and arrr'd for ages and I managed to get my brother and sister in law to agree to coming, and in the end they said right okay we'll honour it but only for 2 adults, so bargain of the century!
