Pulling my hair out with Zales Jewellers!

I am completely fed up with this company!

It all started when we were in Florida and DH saw a limited edition Marvel Citizen watch he wanted to buy.

Went into Zales and was told that it was sold out in store but they could order it into the store for us. Great! Paid for it and was told to call back into the store on the Tuesday to collect.

Went into store Tuesday and was told, sorry, we ordered the wrong item. No issues here, a bit of a pain but no big deal. Full refund issued.

Sales Assistant told us that we could order it online and get it shipped to POR via next day delivery. Ordered this and paid for the next day delivery - it should have been delivered on the Wednesday/Thursday and we were due to fly home on the Friday.

By Thursday, I track my order and it still hasnt dispatched. Called Zales and they are unable to cancel the order.

I explained that we were due to go home the next day and that I wouldnt be there to receive the order. Still not able to do anything.

Spoke to POR and they said that if a delivery wasn't collected within a certain time, they return to sender.

Just as we were checking out of POR, I get an email from Zales confirming order has been dispatched and will be delivered on the 18th November so informed POR of the same.

Got home Saturday and tracked my order - I was able to alter the delivery for UPS to hold and return to sender.

UPS sent the order back (after 5 working days hold) and it was delivered back to Zales on the 2nd December.

It has been almost 2 weeks and I am continually chasing them for my refund and have been told several different things about getting my refund ranging from 1 week to 30 days!

I understand this is my own fault for ordering the watch so close to us going home but Zales customer service has been shocking and nobody has helped me.

Rant over!

Did you pay with a credit card? Go down the chargeback route?
Harassment you don't need!

I have been on their twitter and facebook and because I said I wanted to speak to a Manager, they have blocked me on both!

I spent 45 minutes (35 mins trying to get through to someone and then 10 minutes on hold again after asking to speak to a Manager) and then they hung up on me.

I paid via credit card/paypal so have been advised to go down the Paypal route of raising a dispute first.

It's £350 and I know it was on my credit card but I pay my balances off every month so could really do without having to pay an extra £350 towards my CC bill because of them.

Just such awful service and even more so that I am back in the UK!
