Different things to do around Haines City area?

We are staying at Southern Dunes next August, never stayed here before only ever been to Mannys in this area and nothing else. Any recommendations of places to visit or restaurants to try would be gratefully received.

Bok Tower Gardens... a beautiful and relaxing place away from the hustle and bustle of the theme parks. Take a picnic and eat while listening to the carillon.

Our villa is in Haines City so here goes
To eat the club house it's self Sunday brunch is really good
Mannys ,Sonnys Pit BBQ ignore all the red neck trucks it's is good
Egg City under new management not my favorite but the rest of the family love it
Dora's pizza take out home delivery or sit in it's a tiny place you take your own beer or wine pay a small corkage also does some of the most amazing pasta dishes not a huge menu but lovely
R eatery a mom and pop type dinner very popular with locals
Food shopping Walmart Winne Dixie Aldi and Dollar General Market
All,of them are Walkable
Winter Haven is 15 mins away and we tend to eat in the Mannys there
You can walk in most times and be seated we also eat in the branch of Ovation there you will find Olive Garden Red Lobster Longhorn Ruby Tuesdays here as well also a huge Walmart and Publix
Independant eaterys Tempo 39 Louisiana Cajun Thi Haven great Thi food Harry's old Place a Cherry Pocket or Harbour Side for fish lovers
There are also spread out though Macy's Peir 1 Joanne's Beauls TK Max etc
Lake Eva is also a nice park to walk round
Bok Tower Grdens as mentioned
And of course Posner Park several new shops opened since August and
BBW opening in January the cinema is also nice there

The Sonny's there is good, I will vouch for that, although its quite a few years since I went.

The community outdoor pool at Lake Eva is really great, especially for kids. It has a whole water play area and slide. Not expensive at all, lovely sun loungers and really clean. Lovely half day out.

Posner Park also has a cinema. North on the US27 is Lake Louise State Park which is a great open air space and further up the road Lakeridge Vineyard which offer tastings. On the way into Claremont is a tower dedicated to (think from memory as it was a few years ago we went) the orange growing industry. You have to pay to go up but the day we were there you could see for miles.
