International Drive - Hot Spots

Hey folks,

Our trip is upcoming in May and this time we are doing one week off-site before heading to Coronado.

We have only been off site once before and this time I want to go with a little list of places to eat.

We don't like fine dining, we love the idea of some American classic chains perhaps a buffet for one of the evenings.

Here is the list I have put together;

(1) Millers Ale House
(2) Longhorn Steak House
(3) Olive Garden
(4) Chilli's
(5) Ci Ci' Pizza
(6) Panda Express
(7) Denny's
(8) Wendy's
(9) iHOP
(10) Maggiano's
(11) B.B. Kings Blues Club
(12) Bahama Breeze
(13) Tony Roma's
(14) Golden Corral
(15) Chuys

What I'm hoping for is perhaps each of you could pick your top 3 from the list, then pick 2 to drop from the list, essentially giving us a few top choices and a few to stay clear of.

Also please feel free to mention any that we have missed that might suit us.

Oh and I have some places in here that are aimed at Breakfast like iHop but any comments about those ones would be great too.

Thanks folks.

We had a week on I Drive in October. Hands down best meal/service was Tony Roma’s, second was Longhorns, and for breakfast Denny’s was great. Very disappointed with Chilis and Olive Garden and wouldn’t return. As an addition, Shake Shack fantastic if you are time limited and want quick meal/takeaway.

Thanks for that!

Yeah I have been to Longhorns before and it was really good!

Olive Garden and Chilli's getting the chop eh haha? Olive Garden always looked so busy, the pictures on the menu made everything look very similar :P

I found Cracker Barrel to be fantastic and really cheap. Some of the best SFC I have ever had.

Top 3 from your list (in no particular order):

Miller's;
Bahama Breeze;
Longhorn

Breakfast:

Denny's.

Drop two? I won't slate a place unless I've been there, so can't say (though I would say, whilst Denny's is superb for breakfast, there's far better on I-Drive for lunch/dinner).

Any to add:

Kobe - teppanyaki steak, better value than, and food as good/if not better than Teppan Edo.

Hooters - yes, the (boneless) wings are really good.

From your list ...

Maggianos
Longhorns
Millers

... in that order

Drop 2
Olive Garden (everything looks and tastes the same ... bland)
Cici's (I don't like it but have to admit everyone else in my family does)

Best breakfast - IHoP

We also love...
BJ's Brewhouse
Yard House (near/under Orlando Eye)

Wow, Millers does seem popular, since it looks to be directly across from our hotel that one is surely a must for us.

I ate in Hooters in Vegas last year, the wings were indeed a dream

Yeah I had Olive Garden because it does seem such a popular chain, but I remember looking at the menu and it just looked like everything was covered in the same cheese and tomato sauce combo haha, I think Olive Garden might be coming off the list!

I hadn't come across BJ's or Yard House before so I will definitely check those out.

Thanks so much for your thoughts.

Unfortunately there isn't one on IDrive.
