Mobile Has anyone changed BA to do 1st leg night before?

Hi

Suddenly thought I wonder if we could change out edinburgh - gatwick leg to the night before we fly on to tampa. Wish I'd thought of it before we booked but dies anyone have experience of changing to do this?

If possible, I would suspect you may need to pay an amendment fee.

It depends on the fare rules of the original ticket, but assuming it was not a flexible ticket, BA would charge an amendment fee per person, plus any difference in fare.

There is the possibility of schedule changes triggering a free rebook, when you might be able to persuade BA to change the domestic to the previous day, but this is far from certain.

I’ve often used a schedule change to facilitate this kind of change for nothing.

We always do our Newcastle to Heathrow flight the day before our long haul. Never made a change to an original booking though so it’s worth asking

I looked into doing night before in London for July next year from Edinburgh. Was £600 more expensive than flying down same morning. So we didn’t book it.

They want 150pp amendment fee so I'll stick with what we have. If they try to make any changes to our bookings I'll chance my arm

We’re at Gatwick right now. Flew down yesterday and as said we used a schedule change to do this - i even managed to get them to pay for the hilton last night 😀
