It’s not ok but there is a market for it so of course they’ll continue to do it. Same as universal with their horror nights which start mid September.

Edit:

Re the opening hours. Disney will argue that there are now 4 parks and in the summer the majority will be open till 9 and there are regular early/late magic hours.

As most people will likely spend a week at Disney there will be opportunities to stay at MK late when there aren’t events on.

Poor service is unacceptable and should be dealt with at the time, not left to fester and reflect upon afterwards.

We complained about aspects of the Backyard BBQ In an email the day after and Disney gave us back a full refund, no questions asked.

Also I didn’t visit from 1994 to 2007 so can’t say what was added to the parks between them but they added 1 waters park and Animal Kingdom but the best thing they added was the free dinning plan.
Free Dining to a lot of people is the worst thing they did. The food quality and choice has dropped massively since it started. It has artificially increased the cost of the meals to make it more of a bargain and in the end it still has to be paid for, usually by those not on the dining plans. The sooner it is gone the better as quality and choice will increase again.

Did that in 2012 when they started refusing walk-ins at their park restaurants. I refuse to decide what to eat 60 days in advance.

My wallet doesn’t miss the place either

I must admit booking ADR's drives nails into me. We have given up now on advance bookings and just see what available circa 6.00pm for 8.30pm which is when we want to eat.

Lots of examples, recently, of that not being the case -- especially since far more non-party, but still ticket-holding guests are all having to choose to go on those far fewer evenings. (ETA: And there isn't a parade for them.)

Plus, many Americans just go for 2-4 nights, or so, not a whole week.

The parties, essentially, equate to selling tickets twice for one event! That was less of an issue when they started small(on just a few nights), but once Disney saw the $$$, they lost sight of the regular guest's experience and starting spreading Hallowe'en and Christmas over more and more of the year!

Last week it was 4 nights party 3 nights without and it wasn’t 4 consecutive nights so chances are you’d be there when it wasn’t a party night.

There was also a parade on a party night in the afternoon as we saw it on one of those days, unless it isn’t always the case?

We have that at our guard hut. Who would have thought Lake Berkley was more technologically sophisticated than Disney? 😂
