Could you see if you can get in gel form instead. This form also bypasses the stomach and you can control how much to use.

Meantime try some supplements maybe? I was getting really bad hot flushes a couple of months back, and started taking menopace plus, and black cohosh, the flushes have stopped completely.

My sister in law has got the gel, she rubs it into her arm. She actually prefers it to the patch

Cold turkey for flushes I could cope with. Insomnia, mood swings and anxiety i can’t
Not an anxious person normally but without HRT I’m awful. I’m fact the past 2 months I think my hormones have dropped drastically and all, symptoms back again, even on HRT

I use the gel and find it great. See if you can have that. Really easy to vary the dose if needed.

I have had a nightmare with this... I was on one type of patches, they couldn’t get them ... changed me to another for 3 months and then had to swap me to another type. Complete nightmare and I sympathise with the anxiety etc, it’s just awful. In the end my wonderful local pharmacy spent ages on the system and found an alternative replacement patch for me and then I contacted doctors asking for a new prescription. I now go and check with pharmacy what is available before visiting doctors and requesting a prescription. Hopefully you should be able to find an alternative, fingers crossed for you!

I know it's random but it seems a big coincidence to me I have gone down with this flu bug thing, I wonder if my immune system is weakened?

Hi I work in pharmacy and this is such a huge problem at the moment.
We struggle daily to get numerous medications especially HRT and epilepsy medications. What we can get one day may then be unavailable for the next 6 months. We never know.
HRT patches are a massive issue at the moment. We do have some tablet formations in stock but not many and there is no guarantee that we can get them again.
Sorry I can't be the bearer of better news. I feel so frustrated for everyone that is having issues like this. Its embarrassing for us in pharmacy and extremely time consuming trying to advise a doctor of what we can supply on that day.
Maybe ask your pharmacy what HRT products they have in stock so your GP can decide from.that.
Hope you manage to find a resolution.
