It was fine. I wasn’t upset by any comments on here as I can understand both sides. I don’t think there was need to delete them. I am thick skinned enough to say if I think a comment was bad and you all on here always try to help me.

I get where your coming from saying to try and make amends etc but it’s because I kept my mother at arms length a lot of times cos of how I feel and I have tried to build the relationship up to hit the same wall over and over.

My husband today sent a text to my mum to again explain why as we still are upset as he was cross she had put sorry for whatever I’ve done, like she doesn’t know. Unfortunately she just replied trying to turn it all around on us, instead of explaining why she did what she did which was the last straw she tried to make it out like it was my fault which is probably the biggest issue that I have is that she doesn’t think she has done anything wrong.

We won’t be trying to mend things as things stand.

Just praying she never turns up at my house. Don’t need that on a new street with nosy neighbours.

Thank you for your understanding

I was discussing it with a friend today and he coined a good phrase of having a logical Family- he has nothing to dimwits his blood relatives but has surrounded him selves with good friends that are his logical family . I like that idea (albeit he is American and as such is much more touchy feel than me who is this Scottish /English chap !)

Have been thinking about this all week and I think your probably right. In the last text I sent I did say I wouldn’t tell her where I now lived as I didn’t want any contact.

I find it strange how I haven’t received any texts or emails from either my mum,step dad or sisters and I only blocked my mum on my mobile nothing else but I do instead get this letter.

Well my husband texted her for me to say again why I am not going to be in contact etc and to again explain the things that went wrong and instead we get a text back basically turning it all around on me that it’s my fault.
This was my issue before, she says “sorry for whatever I’ve done” like she doesn’t know and even when it’s explained to her it’s still all my fault.

Off now for Christmas but I think when I go back to work I might ask about counselling as it’s starting to affect me again.
