Mobile Does anyone read The Walking Dead graphic novels?

My son is a huge fan of the series so I thought I would get him the original graphic novels it’s based on. I’m a little lost after looking online for them. There seems to be a lot of reading material and I can’t figure out what’s what!
Can anyone enlighten me please?

Yes that’s what I mean. When I’ve searched online they seem to just be books. But maybe they’ve put the comics into a book? I’m not sure? They are pretty pricy too so I don’t want to get it wrong

My brother gets them as he’s got dyslexia and finds reading books practically impossible. He really rates them highly. They are pricey but very good. They are drawn like comics but the content is very adult.

We have bought DS these compendiums over the years via Amazon but I have just had a quick look and they do seem to be more expensive. Eg, we are sure we bought Compendium 1 for £29.99 and it is now showing as £49.99!

I recommend the Compendiums, they have several hundred comics in one, so definitely the cheaper way of doing it xx

The compendiums are the individual comics made into large volume graphic novels, so you get a lot better value, a lot more content in one compendium than trying to purchase the individual comics. Compendium one is the one you'd go for to start with, it starts with the first comic and so on.

My son has volumes 1 to 7. They are really easy to read - I've read them! The final one is volume 32 so each volume must be about 6 of the comics as there were 193 produced. My son wants to collect them all eventually.

Thanks everyone. It makes total sense now that the huge books I was seeing are compendiums of the comics.
After seeing volume one for sale for £49.99, I was pleased to see someone local selling volumes 1,2 and 3 for £50. Used but great condition. I hope he likes them!
