Let’s be honest, regardless of how incompetent Shapps is (and he is a walking disaster!), the decision has always been with the US. If we’ve started to hear an increased number of rumours, it’s because something is going on.

From your lips to Biden’s ears.

We are due to fly out on 11th November and get married there on 15th. Am now thinking this won't happen and have been looking at prices for next November instead... got to raise approx another 3k to make it happen!

Labour Day

All of the "positive" articles have basically been proven they aren't worth any brainpower reading. The only news relevant outside of Reuters who have consistently been on the money, is from Psaki/WH directly.

There isn't much appetite or urgency on the other side of the pond and you can understand why. Forget about random ambassadors "putting pressure on" and the like, as its fairly meaningless. Biden isn't too worried about being an inconvenience to the powerhouse that is Italian EU ambassador, or some airlines equivalent of Tim Martin for example.

Reading the room, I think at the very best case scenario the earliest we would travel is Dec, and then I can imagine they might just want to wipe the slate clean for 2021 anyway. With flights cancelling, quite a lot probably will end up not travelling anyway even if they physically could go as if the announcement is short notice chances are flights would already have been hooked.

I have a dilemma in paying my ATD balance this friday for my Oct 23rd trip. I have flexi options so should get full refunds so less of an issue, but otherwise I wouldn't be investing much into anything for US travel this year.

I'm still hoping our November trip will go ahead but I'm very much prepared for it to be cancelled. Everything is very easily changeable though so I'm carrying on as normal until the flights are cancelled - booked my ADRs yesterday

We've got WDW booked for May with my parents, so if November is cancelled we have decided to reschedule to February. Cutting down from 21 nights to 15 nights and not doing Disney while we're in Orlando.

If I didn't manage to get such a ridiculously cheap deal with BA for 26th December, I'd prob have cut my losses. However, I'm going to ride it out, convince myself it's not happening, and then I won't be disappointed.

I hope I'm wrong.

We are due to fly on 3rd Nov and again next March. I want BA to hurry up and put me out of my misery and cancel Nov, even if the flight goes ahead I don't think I would feel safe being in Florida with their rising numbers and hospitals full to capacity.

We have moved November to May next year. We have agreed that if they open up we'll book something last minute.

I have a flair for drama and at this point I am wondering if we'll ever be allowed to visit again.
