That's what happened with us , the window we've had boarded over was the original kitchen window before the extension was built on, we bought it with extension in place , the window bugged me but we worked with it and disguised it a bit with a voile panel on kitchen side. But in kitchen that wall was a dead space cos no units we just had a fridge freezer beside it , so now it's covered we are going to have untis top and bottom all that side which we never had before 👍, we were concerned with it being bordered over a lot less light would be in the room leading off kitchen but we can't tell any difference so that's a big win too x

I would love to have ours done as we could then have a wall for a TV in the conservatory.
One day we’ll hopefully get it done

So a bit of an update , yesterday the ceiling went in , looks so much better lol, will look even better when backing has been removed and spotlights pulled through
Today it's starting to look like a kitchen most of the base unit carcasses are in place , this isn't the colour of my kitchen it's going to be Matt grey when finished |

Great progress
What are you doing with the floor? Does the tiling stay in place with your new flooring placed on top? |

Yes that's exactly what's happening cos floors nice and flat and straight no chunks missing, no rocking tiles , whatever it was stuck down with they should've used elsewhere in house cos it's solid lol, it will just need a bit of levelling up where washer will be but rest of it's a good base to work on they said x

Morning guys update from last couple of days, had a little drama when a large piece of worktop went through new ceiling so that's got to be refitted 🙈, shame cos joiner fitted it perfect couldn't see any gaps at all and sods law when it's redone we will but got to keep the faith. Anyway the worktops went on yesterday and sink first fitted, housing for washer dryer and we've changed our minds with flooring , we originally were going to have what we've finally decided on but changed it to grey but now worktops on we've gone back to wood colour to match worktop.
Floorings just been delivered bet our neighbours love wagons rolling up most days before 8am 🙈... I think we made a good match lol, not 100% same but good enough plus most of its gonna be covered with a big kitchen rug anyway Fingers crossed top units are up today and most of doors and drawers, joiners here until Tuesday that's also for flooring so hopefully by Tuesday there's a big difference in my updates x |
