I consider us exceptionally fortunate to have missed the Flybe demise by a few days and not having our NOLA trip impacted at all. Ten days after we got home it became clear the world was changing
We felt the same. We got home on the Tuesday and a week later we were like what the heck ...
There is a bit of back and forth on Mardi Gras isn’t there ... the hindsight blame game
We saw a pic of Two Sisters boarded up
I wonder when we will get back there 😣
Hope you are doing ok.

Yes exactly!

I feel a bit stupid myself actually as when we sat in our NOLA hotel before we flew home the US news was full of it, but even then it felt quite intangible, far away, and ‘it won’t happen here’. Very wrong there.

I’ve been following some NOLA blogs and it just looks so sad all shut up. Especially given how long (for America!) some of them have been operating.

Take care of yourself Amanda and I’ll look forward to your next report, whenever it may be

Yeah we felt the same ... and up in Palm Coast it’s hardly touched the community so you can see why in some places they are struggling to understand its impact.

We would normally have our Autumn trip planning underway around now. I did look at flights yesterday but wasn’t tempted.
Still have my March trip to write up though
Stay safe x
