Leaving MK after HEA - car or bus

We are staying at POR. We will have a car and are trying to decide whether to drive or catch the bus on the evening we are seeing HEA. Any thoughts on which will get us back to POR in the most relaxed way. Quite happy to sit and wait for crowds to leave if necessary.

For me it would be bus, simply because you have to make your way over to the TTC before you can even get to your car. If I have to line up for something at the end of the night, I want it to be the thing that's taking me all the way back to the resort.

But either way, would definitely sit out the crowds. I am hoping to wait them out long enough to see the kiss goodnight but now that I'm going later in the year, not sure I'll be able to stay awake that long!

Agree totally. Bus for us to Mk. We use the car to other parks but never to magic kingdom

We did this last week and took the bus, the queues weren't as bad as previous years but we had good bus luck all holiday 😊.

I can't comment on POR, but for OKW and SSR (as the only resorts I paid attention to) bus looked the best bet (and certainly was last year). i suspect the queues to the TTC are at best as bad as the bus queues.

Bus.
Hang around and watch the other show or go and get a photopass by the tangled toilets. Have a mill about the shops and see the kiss goodnight!

Based on last week after we had checked out of OKW- I would take the bus. It was sooo busy!

Bus! We've just got back and yes sometimes on the bus you had to stand, others we sat, max wait 15 mins from arriving to getting on the bus but you could spend that time making your way to TTC if not longer and you then have to drive.
