Something else to consider is the hub grass by the fountain at the end of Main Street - particularly the one on your right as the one on the left often has a photo pass photographer.

There are actually people in the hub but not many stopping in the grass until later, so it gives a castle shot with the impression of an empty park. This was actually 10am on a Saturday with gorgeous weather and Mickey’s birthday and Dapper Day... so actually it was really busy, but the grass was still empty. Helps to shoot sitting as well so the angle minimises people walking past in the hub. And a bit of patience.

Will try this when we go, our DD and DS are 18 & 16 now, so don't think they'll sit on the floor, but you never know it is Disney after all

Your photo is amazing

I was hoping the morning magic hour would limit the people getting into the park allowing for some quiet Main Street photos.

I’m glad I haven’t parted with my money as I would have been seriously annoyed seeing lots of people for something I would have paid for a perk that seems a little expensive for 3 rides.

I think it will be a struggle getting some good pictures from the replies.
The EMM ticketed event makes no difference to Main Street as it's a Fantasyland event. Main Street opens to everyone at 7:45 every day, event or not. If you have an event/tour ticket or an 8am ADR you might get let in 1 or 2 minutes earlier than the rest of the tapstiles but that's literally it now.

But as others have already said, hope to be towards the front of the queue or look at some interesting angles to make it appear less busy than it is. Front and centre castle will be the hardest since it's the shot everyone wants, but anything angled (like the fab Hub grass example above) is much easier to get the crowds out of frame.

Hi we had a early keys to the kingdom tour about 5 or 6 years ago . It was at 8 30 but we got there by 7 15 we where staying I think Esther at pop or all stars there was a Disney bus at the hotel with the driver standing outside .he saw us walking up and said good morning where u2 going at this hour of the morring 😆 I said hi and said we had a keys tour at 8.30 he well if you world like I take you to a magic kingdom but you be there early . I said thank you as we got on the bus there was another family get stating to sort of run to catch the bus the driver said should I pull away and say there no room 😆 he had a big smile on his face made us both laugh . The family got on and said fought we missed it . The driver said well this is a special bus 😀 but the family did not get the joke . Sat opposite us and they where talking quite loud . No problem for us but the girl that was with them age about 7 said how to we get from magic kingdom to contemporary for chef Mickey . The lady said I don’t know . I said excuse me but can not help over hearing your conversation but at this time in the morring there be no mono rail running so you can walk not far . I then had a idea I asked the very nice driver could he drop the family at the contemporary first he said sure thing boss 😂 so to cut a long story short we ended up at MK early . A cast member said we don’t open for 45 minutes I said thank you and yes we just like to be here and get the atmosphere around MK about 10 minutes later she came back and said are you doing a ADR or tour I saiid Keys tour she said well follow me we walked though a place where there was just a rope a CM just asked to see our tickets smiled and said go right in . We where the very fist in the park and got some brilliant pics of Main Street and the castle . We then just waited near city hall and watched as other people came in .
