Staying onsite, still not understanding when tickets start and FP 60 day window is

OK, I don't know why my brain can't quite figure this out. Our booking for BC is August 14th 2019. Does this mean that our 14 day tickets start that day by default? Or do they start the first time we use them in a park? Because depending on which one it is that will affect when the 60 day FP window is.
Because I'm thinking that we will be too tired to do anything but go straight to bed on arrival day and that the next morning would be our first park day. But what if we get there and are excited and decide to pop into Epcot for a quick look around before bed? would that mess anything up?
Is my 60 day window 60 days before 14th August irrespective of whether we go into the parks that day or not?
Finally, I know this question has probably been asked a million times, but at 60 days, do you book your FP+ selections for the first day, and then at every day thereafter? Or you book them all at once?
Thanks

Sixty days will start when u are staying in site. The tickets will start when u tap them upon entering your first park. This is how I believe it works but stand to be corrected

Your park tickets will activate them first time you use them. Your fatpass window opens 60 days before 14th August irrespective when you first go to a park. You can book your fastpasses for length of stay.

This is correct. Your 60 day window is linked to your check-in day as this is the first day you can use your tickets but they won't activate until the first day you actually use them in a park.

At that 60 days, you will be able to book for the entire length of your onsite stay. If you're doing a split stay offsite, those remaining days will open up at 60 days to each day.

Great thanks all.

I forgot to say that I am doing a split stay, 8 nights at BC and then offsite. So this info is really useful.
