Universal Express Passes

Hi all

We're thinking of doing 3 nights in Royal Pacific in June 2019 which is working out about $2500 for 2 rooms, 7 people.

We are also considering staying off site and booking express passes separately. Does anyone know is there a cheaper way of booking express passes other than paying at the gate? It would be at least $100 each per day which works out more than we would pay for Royal Pacific including express passes? Am i missing something here? This seems crazy expensive?

Thanks

You can only buy express pass through universal (online or at the parks) but the hotel trick is a great way to get express passes cheaper, especially with 7 to pay for. Royal Pacific is lovely too

Thanks unexpectedpenny!

We stayed in RP last year and it was fab but we have the opportunity to stay for free in Hyatt place around the corner next year. May as well stick with Royal Pacific then!

The cheapest way for Express Passes is def to stay at one of the applicable hotels.
You effectively get 2 days passess (check in and check out) per hotel night stay.
A couple of weeks ago i paid $359 for 1 night at Royal Pacific for a group of 4... much cheaper than buying seperate.

Thanks AJ

Back to Royal Pacific we go so! We could stay a night in RP, then a free night in Hyatt then back to RP for the 3rd night and get our 4 days of passes so! That would save approx $800 but my husband would never sign up for all the checking in/out. I could do a lot with 800 dollars though... so I might have to start working on him!

Thanks for the help!
