Alamo Brits - MASSIVE price increase
We're off in 3 weeks and my Dad is just getting around to booking the hire car. 2 weeks ago, a 7 seater minivan with AlamoBrits was £660. Tonight it's £1395.44! When I go onto the Alamo site I can get it at a lower rate, not £660 but lower than £1400. I thought the Brit's site was supposed to be cheaper.

Have a look on Kayak etc...
... why leave booking so late? It usually costs more!

Try usrentacar. They are always cheaper than Alamo Brits for me (usually with Dollar)

Have a look at netflights.com.
Just booked our suv and the price was much better than Alamo/brits. Myself and DB have used them with no problems. 21 days in October for a 7 seat minivan seems to be £490 or £587 with 3 drivers and full tank of fuel. |

The closer to your departure usually is higher with car-hire, but that is really, really high.
We only paid £338 for 16 nights for a 7 seater mini van. We travel in 4 weeks but did book ages ago with Alamo Brits. Hope you find a rate you are happy with

We always book the car late as we get the big expenses out of the way. I've not found it to go up a huge amount.
