I am shocking at cooking rice in a
Pan.
I bought a microwave rice cooker in Aldi for about a £5 and it cooks the rice amazing! Well worth the purchase

I can't say I've ever had an issue cooking rice. I cook in the pan - no oil. Just rice and estimate the water to go with it
